Much has been happening over the last six months. Besides finally getting to finally catch my favorite band, The Pogues, perform (which was only made sweeter by having Ken and The Tait with me), but after three years of searching I have finally found a regular job at a medical supply company. I split my time between warehous work and doing customer service. Oddly enough I find myself enjoying working in the warehouse more than working in yet another cubicle. Though getting to talk to the many pt's on a day to day basis is pretty cool as well. Also, I have recently gotten my first paid job as a writer. A magazine out of Canada called
Geez Magazine has accepted a short personal essay I wrote and are paying me a wopping $50 for it. As a buddy of mine has told me time and again, "If you are one of the fortunate ones to become a successful writer you can make hundreds of dollars." On another note, I am stepping down as the junior high sunday school teacher. After much prayer and guidance from Ken it was decided that with all the work and other areas I am working in that I am getting quite burnt out and it is impacting my work in other areas. I am taking a few weeks off from youth work so I may rejuvinate and hopefully come back a lot more refreshed to do my job more effectively. And what's next? Uhhhhhh...... hmmmm.... God willing I am hoping to go back to Rutgers some time around the fall to continue studying literature. Other than that... not much. Hopefully with all the free time coming around I can find time to see all of you :D.
