Much has been happening over the last six months.  Besides finally getting to finally catch my favorite band, The Pogues, perform (which was only made sweeter by having Ken and The Tait with me), but after three years of searching I have finally found a regular job at a medical supply company.  I split my time between warehous work and doing customer service.  Oddly enough I find myself enjoying working in the warehouse more than working in yet another cubicle.  Though getting to talk to the many pt's on a day to day basis is pretty cool as well.  Also, I have recently gotten my first paid job as a writer.  A magazine out of Canada called Geez Magazine has accepted a short personal essay I wrote and are paying me a wopping $50 for it.  As a buddy of mine has told me time and again, "If you are one of the fortunate ones to become a successful writer you can make hundreds of dollars."  On another note, I am stepping down as the junior high sunday school teacher.  After much prayer and guidance from Ken it was decided that with all the work and other areas I am working in that I am getting quite burnt out and it is impacting my work in other areas.  I am taking a few weeks off from youth work so I may rejuvinate and hopefully come back a lot more refreshed to do my job more effectively.  And what's next?   Uhhhhhh...... hmmmm....  God willing I am hoping to go back to Rutgers some time around the fall to continue studying literature.  Other than that... not much.  Hopefully with all the free time coming around I can find time to see all of you :D.

While working in a book store a co-worker once asked me,"How can you guys (Christians) go from writing Dante's Inferno to Left Behind?  What happened?  You guys had the Rennaissance!"  Some recent conversations I've been having with John Tait and a few others have made me wonder the same thing and what is the Christians role in the artistic community.  Chuck Colson has a great article on a rise of quality Christian Lit. It's worth a read and listen.

John Tait told me about a book that influenced Lewis to  write The Chronicles of Narnia.  You can either shell out 13 bucks or you can read it on line for free.

The book was written in the 1800's so there aren't any copyright problems with it.

There seem to be a plethora of blogs out there of people giving their opinions on one thing or another.  I know, I happen to be one of them.  Recently I have been invited to be a contributing blogger at The Crazy Rants of Samantha Burns.  Her blog readership is a lot greater than mine so I am hoping it'll increase readership at my own little blog and hopefully lead to more writing opportunities.

It took me over an hour to make tonights deposit for work.  We made over 10 grand just in cash alone.  I have heard we are the crack dealers of the 21st century.  The money and time people are willing to spend on this is amazing, but also not suprising.  I know if I play a video game I can easily sit on my couch all day every day without leaving to go outside.  It's sad really.  The longer I am there the more I am wondering whether God wants me to stay or not.  It may be better schedule wise for going to school and it'd be nice to have some benefits again.  But my schedule will no longer be regular and I could find myself like tonight getting home at midnight.  At least tomorrow I can sleep in and watch my saturday morning cartoons.  And then the Christmas extravaganza at youth group.  I am excited.  Last year I didn't get to participate.

After spending the past few years in temp Babylon I have started working part time at a video game store.  During my early years in the working world I started off working at variouis shops and restaurants and I never thougth I'd work in any type of situation again.  God works in mysterious ways.  There is a potential that it may become a full time job and allow me more opportunity to go back to school.  I'm not sure if this  is a direction God wants me to take, but the idea of going back into cube land is equally as unnatractive.

Coming up, youth christmas party extravaganzas!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

I have gotten a lot of questions about who this guy is.  No it is not me from a few years ago.  No I did not put on some make up and shave the gotee to make myself look like this.  It is a picture of Peter Boyle from Young Frankenstein.  I set this as my pic because I wanted to show some respect to the recent passing of Peter Boyle.  Plus we all know that sooner or later I am going to set my thumb on fire.  It's just a matter of time.
